The Best of Vietnamese Specialties: A Week-Long Showcase at OCOP Product Week 2025, Hanoi.
THE HANOI TIMES — Hundreds of specialties and typical products from over 20 provinces and cities are being showcased at the week-long event dedicated to OCOP products, safe agricultural produce, and food in Hanoi.
Until May 13, more than 50 booths will be exhibiting unique agricultural products, OCOP-certified items, and traditional crafts from Son La, Quang Nam, Yen Bai, Thai Nguyen, Nghe An, Hung Yen, Phu Yen, Thanh Hoa, Quang Ninh, Tien Giang, Danang, Cao Bang, and other regions.

This event is a part of Hanoi’s OCOP Program for 2025, aiming to promote local specialties and crafts.
Ngo Van Ngon, Deputy Chief of the Hanoi New Rural Area Development Program Coordination Office, emphasized the event’s role in connecting OCOP entities from Hanoi and other parts of the country. He added that it provides a platform to showcase agricultural products, food items, handicrafts, and traditional craft villages, ultimately enhancing productivity and product quality.

Ngon explained, “The event offers consumers the opportunity to experience and purchase high-quality products, while also allowing OCOP producers to promote their brands to a wider audience, facilitating trade and helping them find new partners and markets.”
Hanoi, known for its rich craft village culture, is home to over 1,350 craft villages, accounting for 40% of the country’s total. This provides a strong foundation for developing OCOP products, and the city is well-positioned to implement effective promotion programs.
According to an official, Hanoi has classified 3,317 OCOP products since 2019, leading the way in OCOP goods. This event is a testament to the city’s commitment to supporting local businesses and promoting their products.

Cao Hong Van, Director of New Star One Member Company Limited from Ha Long City, Quang Ninh Province, shared, “We are proud to present our four-star OCOP products, such as sea worm shrimp salt and sea worm fish sauce, which have gained the trust and favor of domestic and international markets. This promotion program will undoubtedly help us expand our reach and find new business opportunities.”
Pham Thi Hoa, a fish sauce producer from Nghe An Province, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to participate in the promotion week. She highlighted the positive impact on her business, stating, “It has helped us connect with consumers beyond our province and has resulted in an increase in orders. We are thankful for the platform to introduce our products to a wider audience.”
